WHAt IS BROWN GIRL, CORPORATE WORLD?
Brown Girl, Corporate World is a private membership community and network of Black women who work in Corporate America, and any other non-Black female who considers themself an ally to our cause.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between isolation and feeling supported by offering supplementary resources that foster health and wellness, career advancement, self-empowerment, and economic growth.
Brown Girl, Corporate World provides a safe space for Black women connect, network, and push for real change for themselves and the communities we serve. Our reason for being can be summarized as follows:
To support the advancement of Black women into the highest levels of corporate business while surviving the climb to get there.
To help Black women discover their innate gifts and combine them with the principals of leadership, legacy building, personal growth, and entrepreneurship to advance their lives forward.
To help Black women recover from trauma experienced in the workplace, rebuild confidence, and make future-forward decisions from a position of wellness, self-trust, and knowledge of how to navigate strategically within corporate work spaces.
To provide Black women with a true sense of community, tangible support, collaboration, and resources.
ARE YOU A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION?
No. Brown Girl, Corporate World is a privately held organization and community-driven brand developed and owned by J.D. Madison and Company. We leverage donations, grants, and earnings to create tailored education and communication connection opportunities centered in ongoing career journey support, flagship events, life change support funding, and the advancement of Black women in America at large.
WHO IS THE COMMUNITY FOR?
While this community exists to support the growth and wellness of Black women, we do not discriminate and will not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We are an all-inclusive community with targeted services, resources, and programming that address the immediate needs of Black women working in corporate spaces. In addition to our standard membership, we have a Dedicated Allies membership where offer resources and materials that educate and inform allies, people managers, and business organizations of the Black female experience in the workplace.

How DO I become a member?
To protect the integrity and privacy of our network, we require that all members complete a simple online process that will help us determine if our network is the right community for you. Applying is absolutely free and you can click here to get started.
How can I GET INVOLVED OUTSIDE OF MEMBERSHIP?
We welcome any supporter who is serious about the health, wellness, and equitable treatment of Black women in the work environment. Since we are not federally or state funded, our community and operations rely heavily on our supporters and volunteers who have a true passion for making life and the pursuit of good business better for all.
